Since I Can't Sleep, I'm Watching "PATTON"!!! And While I'm Sure I Have More To Say About The Flick Itself, This Little Reblog Will Do For Now. It's A Classic Among Classics, Fo SHO, And An All-Time Fave!
So Why Not Give It The Reblog, Ya Know?! Sure You Do!

Yeah, the movie is a good one. You know, I also remember when some brand new VHS tapes, like when Indiana Jones first came out, would retail for up to $89.99. Imagine spending that much on a tape? But lots of people did. Easy credit in those days. Everyone was maxing out like six credit cards, and they felt rich doing so. Ah, the Reagan years.
Oh, Trust Me, I Remember, Mr. Bill.
When I Got The Double-Tape-Edition Of “Gettysburg” For My Birthday The Year Of Its Release (1993 I Think, But Don’t Hold Me To That), It Was $89.95!
I Remember My Dad Paying $120 EACH For The Collector’s Editions Of “Alien” “Aliens” “The Abyss” and “Terminator 2″ On The LASER-DISC! Of Course, They Were The Most Amazing Things I’d Ever Seen (In Regard To Home Entertainment) At That Time!!! hahahaha
We always did the two VCR copy, or would buy the VHS cassettes when they went on remainder. In the early 90′s I got “The Civil War” as a Christmas present (I still have it, although no VCR to play it on). I imagine that was pricey.
My town sort of has a grudge against George C. Scott, who said bad things about us on television. In local stores, you can still buy the photograph of his boat capsizing on the breakers.
HAHAHAHAHAHA!
Now THAT Is A Tale I’d Love To Hear About Sometime, RK. Do You Know The Details? The Skinny? The Straight-Dope?
