“Time…
…Is Never Time At All…
…You Can Never Ever Leave…
…Without Leaving A Piece Of Youth…
…And Our Lives Are Forever Changed…
…We Will Never Be The Same…

…The Less You Feel. …“

1995.
T’Was A Very Odd Year, Fo SHO, My Peeps.
When The Album…
“MELLON COLLIE AND THE INFINITE SADNESS“
…Was Released, I Was A Sophomore In High School.
I Was Struggling With The Oddities Of Just Being ME…
…And The Oddities Of Those Folks Around Me.
In Hindsight…
…I Think I Weathered It Must Better Than I’d Originally Thought.
I Wouldn’t Call It A Success…
…But It Wasn’t A Failure, Either.
I Am Still Alive, Though…
…So That’s At Least Some Measure Of Success.
My Biggest Success MAY Be The Fact I’ve Survived As Long As I Have.
I’m Generally Quite Reckless…
…And That’s Coupled With My Being Accident Prone.
Reckless

Accident Prone

Being Bradley
=
A Horridly Painful Combination
.Period.
Don’t Believe Me?!
Well Just Ask All Of My Previously Broken Bones AND My Scars.
I’m Sure They Could Spin You Up A Few Nifty Little Stories About All That’s Happened To Me Over The Years.
ANYWAY…
…When I Think About That Year (1995)…
…And Throughout The Following Year (1996)…
THE SMASHING PUMPKINS
…Were Almost A Constant.
“MELLON COLLIE AND THE INFINITE SADNESS“
…Was Toweringly HUGE!
And…
…While I Love The Whole Album…
“TONIGHT, TONIGHT“
…Remains My Favorite Tune From Said Album.
It’s The Song I Think Of Most…
…And It Never Ceases In Putting A Smile On My Face.
Doesn’t Matter Where I Am…
…Nor What I’m Doing…
…If…
THE SMASHING PUMPKINS
…Are Playing…
…I’m Hanging Around To See If They’re Going To Play…
“TONIGHT, TONIGHT“
.Period Period.

See, I probably would call it a success, Brad. You’re still here and thinking about/learning from it.
It’s cool how music seems to have a power few other things do to encapsulate a period in our lives, good or bad, but definitely one for which we have a profound emotional reaction, which makes the music that much more important.
Am I Allowed To Just Say DITTO?
‘Cause That Word Really Sums It Up.
You’ve Taken The Bulk Of The Words Out Of My Mouth, Fo SHO, Broseph.
I Sincerely Appreciate This Comment, Dude. You Made Me Smile A Touch
-BRAD

You win!!!
Sounds like you must have been a bit of an Evil Knievel…!
Or maybe a boxer…! A motor-cyclist…! A masochist…!
How did you manage to do all that…?
I Just Never Seem To Remember To Watch Where I’m Going. I’m The Inspector Clouseau Of Blogging. I’m Just Accident Prone. And I Was An Aspiring Stunt-Man At Age 14. I Just Wish I Still Have The VHS Tapes Of That Stuff. Good Times.
But The Bones Have All Mended, Though I Can’t Say They Hurt Sometimes.
Arthritis In Every Joint That’s Been Pops, Broken, etc etc
So Yeah…
Reckless AND Accident Prone hahaha
Sorry ’bout that arthritis… ouch!
Mine were a bit more ordinary..
Fractured an ankle roller skating with my daughter many years ago when she was just a littleeee; and fractured a wrist whilst I was doubling her on her bike… That’s about it… thank goodness.
Trying to be a great mother sure hurt….
