  1. There’s a Lincoln quote for any and every occasion. This is a great one I hadn’t heard before. Thanks for sharing it.

  2. You’re Welcome, Dude.
I Have Books All-Over With True Gems Like THAT ONE In Them.
Always Fun To Break Them Out And Let’Em PLAY, Ya Know?!
Having Served Aboard “The USS Abraham Lincoln” and From Conducting TOURS (like Classes Of Kids Coming On And Me Having To Talk About “The Ship” AND “The Man”), I Actually Did Some Extra “ABE” Research, hehehe
The Dude Really Does Have A QUOTE FOR EVERY EVERY THING.
    It’s Kinda Crazy.
Smart AND Sharp Dude, Fo SHO Fo SHO!!! hehehe

  3. We obviously shouldn’t be content with failure. But we shuold embrace failure for what it is; an opportunity to learn for the future. Also, as leaders, we should allow people to fail (make mistakes) without making them feel like failures. Abraham Lincoln failed much in his life (look it up). But, he proved that success comes from failure. Aren’t we glad he didn’t give up or quit?

    • I’m VERY Glad He Didn’t Give Up And Quit, That’s Fer Dayum Sure. And Yes… We As Human Beings Learn SO MUCH MORE From FAILURE Than We EVER DO With An EASY SUCCESS.
      Failure Comes in All Forms…
      …Day After Day…
…But, As The Old Saying Goes, It’s How We RECOVER From The Failure, and What We Do Afterward With What We LEARNED From The Failure.

      Remember BEN FRANKLIN…
…Those Who Do Not Learn From History, Are Doomed To Repeat It.

      You Take Care, Mr. Wilson.
      Respectfully,
      -BRADLEY

  4. Actually, down here in Greenville, S.C. where I now live (I grew up in the north) Lincoln doesn’t exactly have a very positive rep. He is still the leader of Yankee Aggression against the genteel, neighborly South.
A local landmark restaurant (visited by both Romney and Gingrich) has paintings of Robert E. Lee and Stonewall Jackson on the wall, and the Confederate Museum is near downtown. Lincoln, if he was still alive today, might not be safe walking the streets around here.
    Cheers,
    Bill
